    About the coffee

This coffee is produced by Jesus Eusébio Lopes on
his farm Pedra Redonda. Jesus is a member of Coopfam, who we've been working with for 13+ years.

Located in Poço Fundo, South Minas, Coopfam was
founded over 30 years ago as an association of family farmers and in 1998 became the first Fairtrade certified coffee cooperative in the Brazil. Today they pride themselves on being one of the largest smallholder producer cooperatives in Brazil supporting over 800 families.

Coopfam specializes in producing high quality,
Fairtrade coffee, while also supporting organic production, women-grown coffee and specialty microlots. Their community development projects have included general education and English language learning, as well as good agricultural practices and farming assistance.

Coopfam have re-invested in growing the co-operative over the years, adding warehousing, a roastery and a coffee shop, as well as funding social projects which support their members.

    Pioneering Producers

Coffees in this range are from producers who do things differently and are at the top of their game. We love returning to these same relationships year on year and making Value Chain Investments to secure the future.
