Moran District, Assam
Love Assam? Meet one of the very best - a sumptuously rich, sweet and strong lightly rolled tea from the celebrated Halmari tea estate. It's picked during a six week window during the second flush season and we've secured a small batch for the UK. It makes a bright russet infusion with aromas of honey and caramel and a beautifully malty flavour with hints of raspberry jam.
Ingredients: 100% black tea leaves. To store, just reseal the pack and keep it in the cupboard. Blended and packed in the UK by Taylors of Harrogate, HG2 7LD.

Halmari Tea Estate, Moran District, Assam, India
Honey, caramel, malt, raspberry jam

Most of the tea it produced was being sold into the local market, but we wanted to bring some of this exquisite, rich, malty tea to the UK. We have been visiting each year ever since during each growing season, when we stay on the tea estate with the manager and his family. We're very proud to have a small batch of this famous tea in our range.
It's picked when Assam teas are at their finest – the second flush period. After the cold winter, when the tea bushes are dormant, the spring sun re-awakens the bush in the first flush of March. The tea bushes then rest before another growth spurt produces the finest second flush leaves, which Halmari then collects to craft this incredible tea.
