Fine grind (like fine sand)
Place a filter in the basket and attach to the chamber. Rinse the chamber and filter with hot water, and pour away.
Screw the basket to the bottom of the brew chamber and place it on top of the mug. If it’s handy, use the funnel that comes with the AeroPress to add 17g of ground coffee. Then, remove the funnel.
Start your timer when you pour hot water (just off the boil or about 92 - 96°C) into your brewer. Pour to the No.4 mark (250g of water if you’re using a scale).
Stir the coffee and place the plunger back into the brew chamber, then pull this slightly up to create a pressure seal.
After 1 minute of brewing start to gently press down with steady pressure, stopping as soon as you hear a hissing sound.
